How could you possibly know how much to charge me when I don't know what I want?!

We don't! But that's OK, for two reasons.

1. From a huge amount of experience and research, we know that 95% of the time a project like yours takes this long and costs this much.

2. We don't want you to take our word for it.

Your first 30 minutes with us are free. Email, WhatsApp or book a free Zoom call to talk through your project, and we'll build a package around you.

Do I need to know what I'm doing before I book?

Not even slightly. Some of our favourite records started as a voice note and a "what if...?" Bring the idea and we'll help you shape the rest.

Is there a deposit?

Yes, 50% to lock in your dates. It means the studio, the kit and the coffee are all ready and waiting for you. The rest is due before your final masters or files land in your inbox.

How do I pay?

By bank transfer or through our secure online payment portal. We'll agree which suits you best when we kick things off.

Do you charge VAT?

Nope. We're not VAT-registered, so the price you see is the price you pay. No surprises.

Life happened. Can I move my session?

Of course. Give us 7 days' notice and moving it costs nothing. Less than 48 hours before, though, we'll have already cleared the diary for you, so the session is charged in full.

Who's actually behind the desk?

Dan Hopwood, our Head of Production, engineers and produces every session. Same ears from the first take to the final mix.

What if I don't love the mix?

Then we keep going. Every mix comes with two rounds of revisions. Gather your thoughts, send them over in one go, and we'll get it sounding exactly how it does in your head.

Who owns the music?

You do. Once everything's paid, your recordings are 100% yours. We're just proud to have been in the room.

I recorded it somewhere else. Can you still help?

Absolutely. Send us your stems and we'll mix it, rescue it or master it. Mix Rescue is exactly what it sounds like.

Service or package: what's the difference?

A service is one thing done brilliantly. A package bundles several, such as recording, artwork, video and a release plan, and costs less than booking them one by one. Think of it as the set menu.

The song's finished. Now what?

Now we get it heard. Release strategy consulting is available for anything produced at Pluto, so your music doesn't just exist; it lands.
